Conference Details
The 22nd Annual AILA California Chapters CLE Conference will focus on a far-reaching range of immigration law topics and those of particular interest to practitioners in California. Thursday evening kicks off with a special panel on Bias and Substance Abuse. Friday morning begins with sessions on hot topics, recent developments at local USCIS and National Benefits Center, and updates from ICE, CBP and the California and Nebraska Service Centers. The lunch session will feature a law practice management and technology presentation to help you evaluate, develop and promote the use of techniques which will make your legal delivery team (lawyers, legal assistants and other non-lawyer professionals) more effective, competent, and responsive to the needs of your clients.
Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, attendees can select from two concurrent tracks—Business or Family/Removal. The Business sessions will address hot NIV topics; NIV consular update; long-pending AAO applications; LCA and prevailing wage processing changes; EB-5; PERM; and worksite enforcement. The Family/Removal track will cover CSPA; I-751 filing; complex family issues; an update on Ciudad Juarez; immigration court practice; VAWA/U/T/S visas; and an update on the Ninth Circuit.
Friday evening after the sessions, registrants will have the opportunity to participate in the Taste of Marina del Rey networking dinner (dutch-treat) event.
Interspersed between and after events, take advantage of the various networking breaks and opportunities to socialize and build your professional network.
